John Wine Snob says:
On a warm humid evening in Southern Illinois what would go with that summer salad of endives, strawberries, slivered almonds, fennel, feta, and mint? It has to be light and crisp, and of course cheap. I got a bottle of Bella Sera Pinot Grigio 2012 from Italy for only $4.99. Not a great wine, but certainly not a bad one by any means. It is flowery and perfumey, and has a little melon. The salad made the wine better and the wine made the salad better. Neither overpowered. In the summer I do not want too many complexities in either food or wine and this for sure did the trick. I will give it a very strong 2.5.
