Villa Sonia Pinot Grigio 2012

John Wine Snob asks:
E’ tempo per  il vino?
Si, grazie. Sempre. I made some Armenian pilaf. Mrs. Wine Snob made some Russian beef cutlets. Sound like a culture clash? Not quite, so we added some Italian wine. I opened a bottle of  Villa Sonia Pinot
Grigio 2012 from Venezia. I opened and got a sniff that was just plain typical. I tasted and it was again predictable. It started with  grapefruit and evolved into lemon and summer herbs. Finished like lemon and summer herbs. If you have just one  two glasses it is not terribly complicated, but when finishing the whole bottle it gets a little more sophisticated. The flavors change in time, but patience is required. It does not happen at once. I will give it 2.5 stars instead of  my original 2 just for showing its willingness to change.villa sonia
