Good riddance to 2013! Let’s ring in the new year !! 2014 is bound to be a great !…and so let’s start it right with some tasty sparkling wines that won’t break the bank! First of all.. for me….champagne should have Pinot Noir grapes in it for me to like it. The Pinot adds complexity and more depth of character, but there are some sparkling wines that are 100 percent chardonnay that I like as well. The bottom line for champagne or sparkling wines like regular non bubbly wines is this: the wine will taste better and be more memorable ( whether it’s expensive or not ) if it’s part of a story that brings friends and families together to experience an event. a point in time or special occasion. Enjoy! and see you next year!
