John Wine Snob says:I was having dinner last night with Mrs. Wine Snob at North. Chicken and Prosciutto stuffed with cheese, some burrata, tomatoes, and herbs on crostini, a couple of salads, and hello! Let’s order some wine. We thought, ok, this is a country Italian place so a simple wine will do. We ordered the Ghost Pines Merlot 2010 from California. It was not bad for sitting in the cool breeze as the sun set. The wine was simple and fruity and even slightly flowery. It was not a great wine, but we did not want anything we had to think to much about that evening. It provoked no thought, so it must have been successful.
It gets 2.5 stars from me.
