It was a dark and stormy night at my brother and sister in law’s house. We opened a bottle of Burlwood Chardonnay 2011. With the sleet and cold outside it emitted a nice warmth for a Chard. There was a great whiff of roses when first popped the cork. The first flavors were of pears and peaches. We drank it with grilled chicken and pilaf with bits of dried fruit…nice pairing.
