John Wine Snob says: The Baron De Rothschild (Lafite) Bordeaux 2009 is what it should be. It is sophistication and breeding in a bottle. It is one of the Patrician wines. As soon as I opened it the wafting aromas told me to hold on a second and let this one breathe for about 20 minutes. I gave it a little breathing room and let it take over. It was like drinking silk. It was very smooth, rich, and complicated, and it had that full red ephemeral hue that is just a pleasure to look at. I had this one on its own without food accompaniment just so I could get the full brunt.
I will give this one four stars.
