John Wine Snob says:
It was a bowl of giggling ripe fruit. Maybe it was a little too giggly and too ripe, but still fun. The Hillgate 2010 Zinfandel from Lake County, California is one of those nice syrupy Zins that you could pour on your pancakes. This is one of those wines you can have when you see an old friend you haven’t seen since high school (and in my case this wine has been aging a long time). Have some Hillgate and a few laughs and don’t think about this wine too much. It serves a purpose.I will give it three stars.
